Video Error and a vertical and horizontal line on monitor.

Hello,

Is there any simple remedy for the following issue? 

My monitor is an HP2710m, it has a vertical red line about three inches from the left side and a white horizontal line about an inch and 1/2 above the bottom.  When the hp Support Assistant tests are run for 'Graphics Card Diagnostics' I get a video error;

 'ATIM22.p5x has stopped working'

and

'Structured Exception: EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION Stack Trace: stack trace functionality is not implemented for 64 bit.(end stack trace) Stack Trace: !!! Stack Trace exceptions not supported in 64-bit. !!!'

The error occurs when the tests reach the 'Video Memory Test.'

The videocard is a AMD RADEON HD 5570.

I have downloaded and installed the most recent drivers from AMD using their driver update tool.

No change in results.
