Alright, I've been looking around for a bit, and I've noticed that apparently my card isn't even supposed to work on my computer (Funny, as it's been running for 6 months).
I have a standard P7-1240, with a Corsair 600 Watt Power Supply, I put a Nvidia 750TI in it back in June, and it worked, you just had to press escape a whole bunch when the computer started, wait for 3 beeps, then the computer would run fine. Well just recently, about 3-4 days ago, it started showing me a black splash screen when I did that, instead of the details of my computer screen I was used to seeing. Turn it off and on for about 1 1/2 hours, and it would work. I've noted that I wasn't supposed to be able to get this card to work at all- so do I count myself lucky that it worked for 6 months, and buy a new card, or buy a new motherboard to install in this computer and see if that fixes the issue?
My tech experience isn't very good, was trying to get a better video card, and it did work for a while.
If you need any more information, I can try to provide it. I know that I couldn't disable the onboard graphics card from the bios, but I did turn it off at the very beginning somehow and that's how I got the new card to work.
Thanks for your help.
