Hi to all,
I got my hands on a brand new t5740e in a trade and was feeling happy about it. Figured I'd install some minimal Linux distro and use the computer for online stuff on my Benq 24" LED screen. I removed W7 embedded and installed Puppy Linux, and while everything works pretty good, the video streaming is awful. Very laggy, glitchy, choppy.
Tried several versions of Puppy Linux. Puppy Precise seems to be working best, but it is still far from perfect.
-Flash player is installed, the newest version
-Intel video driver is in use
-FireFox installed, the most recent version
-When playing regular video (offline) there are no issues whatsoever
-When streaming, it works okay in window, but much worse in full screen mode. Audio is perfect no matter what.
The hardware specs of t5740e should be more than enough to run a minimal distro such as Puppy perfectly! I have installed it on computers with far inferior specs and it works much better there, so my question is... What gives? What is going on and why? Can I do something to fix this issue?
