My HP Computer and Blu-ray DVDs --- Something Very Weird Is Happening

I have an HP Pavilion Elite HPE 250-f desktop computer (running Windows 7).

I installed HP TouchSmart DVD, version 4.1.2.5122. TouchSmart was able to play the "Star

Trek" Blu-ray (made in 2009), but was unable to play the "Divergent" Blu-ray (made in 2014).

After failing to play the "Divergent" Blu-ray, TouchSmart had trouble playing the "Star Trek"

Blu-ray.

I deleted TouchSmart and installed HP MediaSmart DVD, version 4.1.4229. MediaSmart 4.1.4229

was able to play the "Speed" Blu-ray (made in 2006), but was unable to play the "Star Trek"

Blu-ray (made in 2009). After failing to play the "Star Trek" Blu-ray, TouchSmart had trouble

playing the "Speed" Blu-ray.

I deleted and reinstalled MediaSmart 4.1.4229. Once again, MediaSmart 4.1.4229 was able to

play the "Speed" Blu-ray. However, for some strange reason, MediaSmart 4.1.4229 later became

unable to even detect the "Speed" Blu-ray. I deleted MediaSmart 4.1.4229 and reinstalled

TouchSmart. TouchSmart was now unable to even detect the "Speed" Blu-ray or the "Star Trek"

Blu-ray, after previously being able to play the "Star Trek" Blu-ray.

I deleted TouchSmart and installed PowerDVD 14 Ultra (free-trial version). Power DVD 14 Ultra

successfully played the "Divergent" Blu-ray (from 2014), but was unable to even detect the

"Speed" or "Star Trek" Blu-rays.

So, what's going on here? Why are the "Speed" and "Star Trek" Blu-rays all of a sudden

undetectable, even by the very advanced software PowerDVD 14 Ultra?

Thank you for any information.
