Does anyone have a solution to the audio from a 500-200a desktop that is constantly clipping, I have installed a few media players and they all clip when playing music, I bought the desktop for the purpose of music production only to have this happening, a regrettable purchase I say, operating system is Windows 8, 64-bit, Core i5-3470, CPU 3.20GHz
I have disabled the sound enhancments in the IDT digital settings but music still clips, have uninstalled the audio driver and reinstalled it, no change, Im getting false audio levels when editing music and saving it and when it is played back in a media player the levels are all over the place, HP tech support provided no answers over the phone, I had an old HP pavilion desktop from 2004 and this did not have these problems but it is now too old to run the programs. Thankyou to anyone who may have an answer.
