I know the sound problem has occured to many on Windows 8.1 and 8, but since I got the final version of Windows 10, I've gotten no sound since plugging in my headphones.
I've noticed that Windows 10 replaced the IDT High Definition Audio CODEC with the Intel(R) Display Audio, but I feel that it's not working properly. Another thing is that the Display Audio Driver fails to find my integrated Speakers, Microphone, Webcam, and my 2 audio jacks.
Halp plz.

After performing Windows 10 upgrade the display on the monitor has a one inch vacant area around the entire display. The resolution is set correctly to 1920 x 1080. There is no way of extending it through the display settings in the PC. The upgrade was made from Windows 7. I have checked via HP and there is no Windows 10 driver available for this monitor even though Microsoft qualified all software and hardware compatible for the upgrade. The adapter is version 8.970.100.9001, dated 1/13/15.
I don't know if the graphics card, ATI Radeon HD 4350 connected via HDMI, has any affect on this problem.
I would appreciate any help.
greetings , since mount the windows 10 i have a problems with the internet explorer, and falsh player,
if i used the internet explorer, the page takes an avergae of 10 seconds , to go and once enters begins
to spawn , if i go to a game or a movie , stop for 10 seconds, then walk and satnd for 10 seconds
, so all the time is passed , so i instaled the google crome , and have no problem either is working
good, then i think there is something wrong with the internet explorer computer , and flash player too

I have a HP Pavilion dv6 laptop which I have been using for some time now.
I recently updated to Windows 10. Since then, my laptop's speakers do not seem to be working propery. There is a distortion in the sound and there seems to be a double echo when listening to sounds, especially when I am using headphones.
The audio devide is IDT High Definition AUdio Codec. The device manager says that the device is workinh properly. However, the problem seems to be continuing. Is the problem due to the new WIndows system or do I need to update any drivers?

Started up one of these yesterday at an office - no problem with sound and didn't have to do anything special to start sound that I remember. Now starting up this one at home.
Speaker icon on start bar is active and currently set at 77%.
To Control Panel and Sounds - shows Device as RealTek speakers with green check mark - and Sound Mixer shows both Devices - Speakers - and Applications - Sounds - as active (not muted) and also set at the 77 mark.
Yet when playing videos - whether YouTube or Amazon Prime movie trailer - where THEIR sound levels are active, not muted....NO SOUND!
What am I doing wrong??
ok i dont know if this id my computer but the past couple times ive updated my audio driver for beats its really loud butt...after it restarts it goes back to normal i like it really loud
After upgrading my HP Pavilion HPE h8-1010 (64 bit) to Windows 10, the integrated microphone in my HP Webcam HD-5210 stopped working. I assume it's a driver issue, but HP doesn't offer a Windows 10 driver update for my webcam; Windows 8.1 is their latest. Any suggestions?
I work at our local medical center in the communications room as a telecommunicator. Our IS dept upgraded our monitors earlier this year to LA2205wg units. Apparently they threw away the USB cables that came with the monitors and we now have a need for them. Can anyone tell me the part # for this cable or what type of retail cable to buy?
When I upgraded from Win 8.1 to Windows 10, the driver for this monitor was not migrated. A generic driver was installed instead. The generic driver does not support screensaver or sleep mode on this monitor. Is there a new HP driver compatible with Windows 10?
I have just purchased this computer installed with Windows 8.1, which immediately upgraded to Windows 10 & after chatting with Microsoft, who couldn't provide an answer, and trying other options suggested by HP troubleshooting, I have still not had the slightest hint of any sound whatsoever.

i installed Windows 7 32 bit
but the sound logo in the taskbar have red cross
when i go to sound logo : they say : No audio output device is installed
i installed all the sound drivers but no soultion
i dont have sound card : i have headset i pulged in the pc and have speaker pulged in the pc but no sound in the headset or speaker ?

MS says ATI hasn't upgraded drivers for Windows 10 on my Hp dc5750 MT. Can someone suggest a pci express board not needing more than 300w power supply, and upgraded to Win 10. Thanks.
Hi I have upgraded OS to Windows 10 recently. from then there is no sound from my monitor.
FYI.. am ussing a Dell laptop to connect to the monitor witha HDMI cable.
It was working fine before upgrade and suddenly it stoped working after the OS upgrade.
I installaed new window in my desktop computer. now sound come from headphone and speckers both, i tired to resolve this issue but cant. kindly tell me the solution.
When will HP put out a update to this Display card so we can upgrade to windows 10. This card is in a lot of HP computers and they cannot upgrade to windows 10. This is the only item that is holding me back from upgrade.
