Just purchased an HP 23" Touchscreen All-in-One PC september 2015. Sound / audio does not work through the built in speakers or headphones.
According to the control pannel and the icon at the bottom of my screen, the sound is turned all the way on.
When i plug in and remove my headphones the computer detects them and i get a pop-up showing that my audio output device has been removed.

I was wondering if it is able to connect two external monitors using both HDMI and VGA output and have 3 monitors running at once. (Includes the laptop monitor).
When I try it, it says that the display settings could not be saved.
Is there a software or anything that will allow me to do this.
I am really not interested in buying any other components for this.

I have no audio and the audio icon is in the middle of my screen. I tested my realteck audio, updated audio driver, scanned for malicious software, restored the computer and did other checks and nothing works. Any suggestions? Thanks.

I live in South Australia and already have a p6755a which has Windows Media Centre software on it.
I would like to purchase a TV Tuner Card and install in it.
However the p6755a looks like it has some restrictions.
Is it possible to do this and if so a recomended specification for the digital TV card.
I want to arrange two monitors (monitor and projector) from the Pavilion p6755a - this is replacing an old computer at the site. Can this can be done by using the DVI and HDMI sockets on the back of the computer. As my internal walls were pre-wired, I would like to keep this as simple as possible. Currently each end of my (projector and monitor) cables are
for projector - From computer DVI adapted to VGA at the computer then through wall to ceiling with VGA on projector
for monitor - from computer DVI to DVI or VGA on monitor. My monitor is capable of taking VGA also but not HDMI. I'm assuming I will need a HDMI to VGA (or DVI) adaptor. Can anyone confirm this before I start buying unnecessary cables.
My Pavilion P6-2018UK is fitted with a WinTV dbt card, that I have been controlling using Windows Media.
Windows 10 will not support Windows Media.
Will I still be able to use the TV card to view and record TV?
I've been having an issue where no matter what song or software is running/playing, the volume will drop very quiet at loud parts, and increase to be very loud during quiet parts (maybe it's attempting to make everything the same volume?) I have no idea why anyone would ever want this disasterous feature anywhere near their ears, but whatever the case, I just want my sound quality to return to normal. I write music, so this is a particularly critical issue that I'm having since it completely ruins my sound quality for what should be moving and dynamic music....
I actually had this issue on windows 8 consistently with this PC, and I was pulling my hair and cursing trying to research and figure what was causing this problem and how I could fix it. The update to windows 10 fixed it. It was PERFECT. But today I restarted my PC for the first time in a while and on the startup screen, it notified me that "updates were installed" and then I went to listen to some music, and that's when I noticed that the awful volume fluctuation curse had plagued my PC once again. This is a very critical matter, as I stated before. I've tried unchecking and checking thihs box and that box, disabling beats audio... anything that you could think of... I need a real permanant solution and a definite knowledge to what causes this awful audio mistake.... All help is appreciated!
Need help with the sound on my desktop
I want to purchase a new monitor. Presently have Acer 19 " and want to go to an Acer 24" that is on sale. With my present computer and video card I have on my Pavillion desktop , would that be a problem because of the larger screen and resolution? I don't want to buy it if it won't work properly. I basically use it for word processing and watching Y-tube videos, not any type of gaming.
Hi, my former monitor went bad and I purchased a new monitor which no longer has speakers. Rather than clogging up my space with new speakers/wires I decided to purchase a small bluetooth speaker - knowing that my Envy has a bluetooth feature. However, when I click on find bluetooth speaker the same way I would with my iPod, it searches... and searches.... and searches and continues searching for any bluetooth item but does not locate the speaker sitting right next to it. Is there some trick to this that is different from connecting a speaker to an iPod?
I just want wireless sound somehow, to avoid clumsy speakers and a bunch of extra wires. My use of sound on PC is pretty limited to stream radio and youtube clips.

Updated to Win 10 and HDMI output for Dual monitor wont work no more. i have done all the windowns and HP updates and restarted laptop. still doent work. Am i missing something or how can i go back to Win 8.1??

I have a Microsoft Surface Pro 3 that I use for business and personal use. I have an HP Pavilion 20 All in one desktop computer in my office. Due to frequent travel, I would like to be able to use my Surface as my primary computer, but be able to hook it up to my HP while in my office for the larger screen. My HP does not seem to have a VGA, DVI, or any kind of input so that I can connect the Surface to it. It only has USB ports. Does anyone know how to do this? Please help! Thank you.
Since upgrading to Windows 10, some of the functions of Beats Audio do not work. Also, and more importantly, the IDT Line In Jack at the rear of the computer is not recognized. I do have audio.
HP says all of my drivers are up to date.
I would like to reload the software but can seem to find where it is.

After about one minute of being inactive my computer monitor will go into sleep mode and display a message of No Souce Signal. I have set the screen saver to not turn on until ten minutes of inactivity through the computer settings and for the monitor settings (also from HP, model W2371d) sleep mode is turned off. How can I stop it from going to sleep every 2 minutes.

I have HP Pavilion Desktop 400-535d PC. In my pc Realtalk sound control always on the screen as shown in the image bellow.
I cannot close this control and it always appear on top of all the application.

my computer shows wavy horiztal lines and also flickering display- also cannot reboot or get to restore screan.Is this problem the result of a bad motherboard& I changed tghe power supply but problem was still there
trying to copy a music cd on to my laptop. don't know how to this. have tried, but unable.
When I upgraded to windows 10 the CD/DVD player is not recognised by windows 10 and I am unable to play music or movies.
Where can I download a driver for this?
I have a g5460.uk which is around 2-3 years old and has a BIOS from 2012 (v7.12 I think).
I am trying to fit a new GPU (Asus GeForce GTX 750 TI) but it doesn't boot any further than the blue bios screen and apart from occasional mournful beeps just doesn't do anything else.
I have upgraded the PSU to a corsair 500w PSU and no problems with that. It still runs with an older graphics card but am keen to get as much out of the system as possible.
I read somewhere that a BIOS upgrade may help but the HP Support pages don't display anything for this particular motherboard (its a Foxconn 2ABF Cupertino motherboard).
Does anyone know where I can get a BIOS upgrade and whether this will help me with the GTX 750 TI or whether its a lost cause?
