My pc currently has amd radeon 240 - 4GB. Apparantly this is a really old card, and i bought this pc recently.

 

I am not able to render any games any good. So I'd like to upgrade it.

 

 

After doing some research, i figured I want "MSI GeForce GTX 980 Ti Gaming 6GB"

 

Would my PC be comptiable with this upgrade?

From what I'm aware, it's neccesary that the motherboard / psu will be able to push that much power, from what I know my computer has 500w, but i can't confirm that.

 

Suggestions wether I am ready to go, or if my pc can't use this GPU? Would it fit within the case etc?

 

I am also thinking about heating problems or other concerns, please let me know if I can go with this GPU fine.

The volume on the speakers will not work. It goes to 100% and stays there, even when I go to the volume controls

 Hello.

im not happy right now. i just downloaded windows 10  last thursday-the 24th of sept 2015

now i can not get any of my dvds to play !!!!

so im guessing i need to download something else to make it work yes ??

i need the download to be free of charge.  i saw one reply and a link that sent me to some site called :

VLC Media player...

but there are 4 diffrent  downloads to choose from  if this is where i need to be , wich one is the one i need to

download ????

the first says :  installer package exe installer.

number two says :  7 zip package (no installer needed )

number three :    zip package (no installer needed )

or

number 4 :  64 bits installer exe installer. 

 

and if i need one of these how long is it going to take to install  ???

windows 10 took me over two hours and ate up my monthly data amount.

i have 6gb for this whole month.

The HP Pavillion that I have purchased, Worked Wonderfully for about 30 mins. I had it plugged into my laptop Via HDMI, I was using my laptop to reflect the image on the laptop on the Big Screen.  30 mins pass by, and the monitor flickers off. I restart the monitor and my computer, and it works fine, but then I jiggle the HDMI cable and it flickers off again. The Whole time the monitor is accepting power, as the white power button remains on throughout, and my laptob still functions as though the images are being reflected onto the Monitor, but there is nothing visually there. Now, the monitor does not even flicker, it merely shows that it is on with the power button, but nothing further. I have tried a different HDMI cable but nothing happens. The Monitor still shows that it is on and all the menu buttons are on and white, but there is no image on the screen.

how do i fix the audio sorce not running? I tried right clicking start and using comand prompt admin and an error message shows up. Audio doesn't work with headphones plugged in either.

My monitor came with an HDMI cable that fits into the back of the monitor, but does not connect to the CPU. Is this normal? Anyone else have the same issue?

I have apparently activated the THEFT MODE setting on my HP Pavilion monitor.  I have read in the reference

guide that this 'feature' can be enabled if the power and signal connections are removed,  provided a related setting is also defined.

 

I did recently disconnect both cables, in an attempt to resolve some issues caused by the KVM switch I have installed.

 

Two questions:

 

Where is this option defined ?

What do I need to do to reset / remove this theft mode setting ?

 

At present, the monitor is basically unusable.

Hello.

 

I have a monitor HP Compaq l2311c. Used in conjunction with a laptop HP Pavilion 13 x360.

After upgrading to Wondows 10 x64 monitor stopped working. The system informs the driver is not compatible with Wondows. I tried to update the driver by HPSupportAssistant. No result.

 

When HP plans to release a driver for Windows 10 x64?

I own the HP Envy 32 inch monitor and have been searching for a solution to this problem since I got it.    I love the monitor but in the two games Arma2 and Arma3 there is a very odd flickering.  I would classify it as a white light flicker.

 If I turn the contrast from 90 to 40 it calms the flicker but then it just doesnt look as good.  I have posted in a hardware forum and they told me that BenQ and Samsung have also had this issue with there early 2k monitors and they have fixed it through firmware updates and I should come to HP support and see if they have a fix.  I did contact support but they must be buisy as they have not responded.  

 

I have tried 2 pc's and 2 different operating systems and both have the same results.  I have tried different wires and still have the same results.  Here is my current build..

I have a 2010 HP monitor that I purchased in 2012 or 2013. A week ago I turned on my computer and the monitor is saying; DVI no signal VGA no signal. Then it says check video cable. I went and purchased a used monitor and cords and was shown in the store that it works. I plugged up the used monitor and I'm getting the same no signal message. Oh and...I'm a very basic computer user. Help!!!

hello again !

and thank you !! i downloaded the one for windows 64 bit !

it took all of 10 minutes !!  now my regular dvds play, will it also allow me to play my blueray dvds too ???

and how do i get the vlc media player to let me see/select the movie seens i want to view like i could in my windows media player ????....thanks again !!!

 Hi, I would like to watch netflix via HDMI lead to my telly and continue to use my laptop. I have an HP Pavilion. How do I do this? I can watch on the telly using the f4 button, but can I watch neflix on the TV and then use my laptop for something else?

If I plug into my TV everything comes up, but my monitor has blue light on as normal and you get no more than 2sec and it goes black, any help would be gratefully received Thank you

My HP Envy 23 (23-d027c) does not have an HDMI port or any other port with which I can connect to a TV for display.  Is there anything I can do to add this functionality?  Thanks

Hey guys..how can i improve my HP desktop(HP dc5100 MT) computer to atleast run high end games like Euro Truck Simulator 2 and GTA San andreas..please advise mi on what to buy..currently i'm running windows 7 ultimate bit 32..I have a 1GB Ram which automatically i know i need to upgrade..your answers will be of great help..so apart from that..what els do i need to purchase
