I purchased an hp pravilion 500-223w to replace an hp pravilion 6404y. The 500-223w has no ports for pci1394. I ordered a card that was suppose to be compatible with the terminal strip on the motherboard. I can not download and edit videos at all. Can someone please tell me what firewire card is compatible with this hp model. (HP Pavilion 500-223w. And also who's brillant idea was it to eliminate the firewire port if you can't find a standard firewire card thats compatible.

HP Pavilion Monitor not working
Hi, so this monitor was used at my dad's office and after awhile, it wouldn't work anymore and so he brought it home to see if he could fix it. The monitor has a little white led that lights up in the back by the power plug. This shows its getting power, but no buttons on the front will lightup, so therefore I do not know what to do with it. If you could get back to me as soon as possible that would be great

old pc won't install new monitor software
I just bought a new monitor hp 25vx and plugged it into my hp pavillion a6750y PC and my PC won't read the software that came with the new monitor. All I have is the blue windows vista background and nothing else such as start button, folders, etc. so I have no way to proceed. Any suggestions?

how can I get an audio mixer connected to my pavilion all in one

I just did a sort of system restore on my computer. I had been getting some malware or something creeping into things. Everything has worked fine except that suddenly the sound is coming through the speakers instead of the headphones, which are always plugged into the front jacks.

in the last 3 days I tried to find a scheme with all pinouts of my Z200 Workstation with FMB 0901 motherboard. I need to connect the graphic card NVS 295 audio socket with motherboard for a HDMI TV's cable. hp envy 700-010xt does not have a video signal after installing windows 10
After downloading windows 10, there is no video signal from the dual DVI or the AMD Video card that came with the computer from HP. Before this I was running Win 8.1 and had access to dual screens. One on the AMD and the second through the DVI of the mother board. This is an HP Envy 700-010xt.

Pc monitor stays blank when pc is on
My desktolp pc starts up ok but nothing is appearing on my screen monitor I have the green permanent light showing on the rear of the pc and the on off switch appears to be working ok with a little flashing light emitting to the side of the on off switch.

Big Fish Games are minimizing after 30 seconds
I bought this computer about 3 weeks ago. The only issue I seem to be having is when I try to play certain games from Big Fish, the game window minimizes after about 30 seconds of trying to play. I will maximize the screen, and it continues to minimize every 30 seconds or so. I know this is not a Windows 10 issue because I had previously installed Windows 10 on my HP laptop and never had a problem with the games doing that. This is the first desktop I have owned since about 5 years ago. I have searched onliine for answers, and this seems to be a common problem.
My product number is M9Z64AA.
I am hoping you can help me, I love to play hidden object games from Big Fish as that is my way to relax. It doesn't seem to happen to all of them, just the last 5 I tried to play.
Those games that have been minimizing are: Dark Romance: The Swan Sonata Collectors Edition, and all the Witches Legacy Games.
I have Maze 360 and Twisted Lands: Shadowtown installed and there are no problems playing those games.

the sound on my laptop suddenly not working even I reboot it or let it rest for a while, then I read a question here same as mine and did the solution given but every time iIdownload to install the IDT audio installer it's always failed I have tried it several times now before the download complete it just freeze then it says failed error in network?please help

EliteDesk 800 G1 TWR VGA + Displayport multi monitor
I have the EliteDesk 800 G1 TWR (Serial No. TRF53201DQ) for the past month I've been using the VGA port with an LG W2243S Display and everything is working perfectly. I have another display (HP W2072a) and wanted to connted it in a multi-monitor configuration, so today I got a DisplayPort to DVI Cable and connected the monitor but the monitor keeps going into sleep mode and detects no signal on the DVI input.

I've tried updating the Chipset and Graphics drivers, I've updated the BIOS, and I've reset the BIOS using the Reset CMOS button on the motherboard and I still cannot get a signal on the HP monitor.
I've even tried connecting the secondery monoitor (HP) alone to the displayport and disconnected the VGA cable but still there is no signal.
I've tried the cable on another Desktop (EliteDesk 800 G1 TWR) with an Identical monitor (HP W2072a) as a primary display and the monitor lights up.
So how can I connect 2 monitors - 1 using the VGA cable and 1 using the DisplayPort cable - on my EliteDesk 800 G1 TWR.

Monitor shows always a big A4-square in the middle and the area outside the square is light grey
Just bought a new computer and everything was working fine.
But after I installed the programs for my printer (HP Officejet Pro 8500A), the monitor started to show a template in the middle of the monitor.
The template is a square in A4 size with folding lines. Outside the square everything is transparent grey.
How can I get rid of this template-quare??????????

ENVY27 camera
I got the new ENVY27 and when using Skype and camera noticed that even when screen is in vertical position my camera points high (mostly top of my head and sealing above me). Is there a way of adjusting the camera angle? Help is appreciated.

System sound not working
I have tried uninstalling and installing IDT high definition again but still my system sound is not working but when I plugged a headphone I can hear the sound please but every time I unplugged the headphone there is no sound HELP.

Screen corner darkens after being on for a few days
My new HP Pavilion 23 is just a few months old and the upper right-hand corner of the screen will darken after it has been turned on for several days. Nothing I can do will fix it other than clicking on the Start button, Power, then Restart. Once I do that, it is fine again for what seems to be another 3 or 4 days. It's almost as if there is a count-down timer to advise me that it should be re-started.
Is this happening to others or does it indicate a serious problem?
