I'm sure others have came before me; however, having the following problem as of today:

monitor going into sleep mode and citing no signal while mouse and keyboard show no power.

Here's what I know:

1.  Monitor was exchanged for another and both receive power, no signal.

2.  Assume not cable since both monitors received power.

3.  Power up system, fan running.  No unusual beeps, lights or indicators.

4.  System <10 months old

5.  On gross inspection of motherboard do not see anything lose.

6.  Turned on monitor prior to turning on tower.  No changes in monitor once tower powered on.

I cannot add a second monitor, a friend advised this could be due the Windows 10 upgrade.

Attempted to set up system with two monitors. Each monitor has a DVI - HDMI cable. Plugged the two cables into the two available HDMI ports on the rear of the PC, but the system cannot detect the second monitor. Switched the two cables at the PC and the same monitor was connected and the system still could not detect the second monitor. Cables are brand new out of the box - bought today, so although, it is possible that they are bad, it is not probable. Looking for help.

Just set this new monitor up as 2nd monitor.  The lighting in the backround has this horizontal scrolling that is continuous.  It is subtle but annoying.  How do I get this to stop.  I am using standard pin cable that came with unit connected to the HP P6340f 64bit.  Please help or this will have to be returned.  Can't work like this.

I bought an hp ENVY 34c and when I boot or logoff/logon, the monitor, when it "resets", there is a single-pixel line at the last pixel row at the bottom of the monitor, about 1/4 of the monitor's width from the left side to 1/4 width from the right. There's also about 2" of this blueish/white line at the top.

 

Where is this coming from?

I setup my preferences in the hp app that comes with my monitor, and I choose to have a custom profile load when Windows loads, but it never loads - it always loads the default profile!

 

This is a Windows 10 x64 box I just built and not an upgrade to Windows 10.

Whenever I start up my monitor, a pop-up comes up saying what my monitor is plugged into the computer with. (VGA, USB etc) When that menu comes up, the letters are unreadable. Its just a jumble of letters together. When I open the monitors menu, the same thing.  A jumble of letters that make it unreadable. What should I do to troubleshoot this?

I agree that the 2509m Monitor is a true lemon.  The fact that HP did nothing to help the 45 plus posters on this site is beyond me.  Never will I buy an HP product again.  Finally threw it the trash after constant bouts with flickering.

Hello,

 

I have a p6 2302-eam which I had not modified until yesterday when I inserted an Asus Gefordce GTX 750ti graphics card. The card is inserted and the fans on it are working but the PC will not allow me to use it as it is not being recognised. I am therefore unable to install the drivers and the monitor remains blank when plugged into the graphics card.

Is this card not compatible with this PC? I have tried disabling secure boot in the BIOS but this has no effect. I have asked for help on other forums but have been told there are often issues with HP OEMs and graphics cards.

Can anyone help?

My windows 10 was automatically updated its updates & since then windows is countinusolsy turning audio device On & OFF automatically after every 2 to 3 minutes.

 

I tried to unistall & reinstall the Audio driver from HP website but it also didn't solved the problem

I am trying to hook up my laptop (Acer) to my 2311x monitor via HDMI.  It worked the first few days upon purchasing the monitor.  However, it has stopped working since last night and today.  I can hook up my Xbox One to the monitor just fine.  What's really peculiar is that I connected the laptop to my HDTV and my parent's HDTV; both worked flawlessly.  Also, when I connect the monitor, I get the Windows USB Recognized sound and same when I unplug.  However, when I tried to go into display settings to detect the monitor, I got the message "didn't detect another display."  So yeah, this error is rather peculiar and I am at a loss for what the cause of this error is.  I tried to be as detailed as I could, but if y'all (I'm from the south) have any other questions regarding this issue, just let me know.  Thanks and Happy Holidays!

Hello there,

 

I have had my HP ZR2740w display for over 2 years by now. Unfortunately, the monitor stopped working all of a sudden without any inappropriate treatment. If I turn the monitor on, a screen appears for about half a second and turns off.

There is no electromagnetic field, no smoking, nor high level of humidity in my room. I also use a Belkin surge protector.

 

The warranty expired 02-Dec-2014. As the monitor was not one of the cheapest, I would like not to leave it and just get rid of it. The monitor looks very well-preserved.

 

Is there an out-of warranty support and any possible rectification of my issue? I live in Prague, in the Czech Republic.

Hello.

I faced with next problem :

I'he connected 2 monitors EliteDisplay S230tm to one hp 400g2 station with Win8x64 installed in dual monitor mode - usb wires for both touchscreens are also connected. When i press on touschcreen of the first monitor the same touch is been duplicated on the second one. When i press on touschcreen of the second monitor the same touch is been duplicated on the first one. So i can't use touchscreens separatally, i meen place different applications on both screens and operate with them by touchscreen.

I'am not sure? maybe its possible to solve problem by cg=hanging any settings in win8 or install any software from HP ?
