Beats Audio Control Panel doesn't function when using the frontal jack

Hello,

So here's my problem. I want to equalize my headphones using the Beats Audio Control Panel, but none of the options there do anything when my headphones are connected via the frontal jack which has the beats audio logo. When I plug in my headphones using the rear jack (one that's connected directly to the motherboard) all the options function properly and I can easily tell that the software is functioning properly.

The problem is that the rear jack sounds way worse and is a lot quieter, so I wanna know if there's a way to use Beats Audio Control Panel in conjunction with my frontal jack.

If I can't then why does it have the Beats logo?

I have tried reinstalling all the drivers (I'm a tech savvy so I usually know what I'm doing) and I have tried getting the driver directly from hp's site for my specific desktop, all of which resulted in no change.

Microphone only partially registergin

I've been through the help menus and tried all the steps and solutions. No matter which type of headphones I plug in, the computer doesn't hear my voice. It does register sound if I tap the earpieces on my desk or otherwise activate the earphones. Only my voice doesn't register. Which is odd, because I'm pretty loud.

Don't know what else to attempt.

HP Envy 34 - No Sound

I am using the Thunderbolt connection to connect my HP Envy 34 Curved Display with my Spectre laptop.  For some reason the sound stopped working about a week ago through the monitor.  At the time the Envy was still listed as an Audio component.

This evening, with the sound still not working, I went in and now the Envy is listed as an Unknown Device.  The Audio switch no longer shows the Envy as an option.

I tried uninstalling it and rebooting and that simply made it an unknown device again.  I tried uninstalling the driver for the audio for the Envy and that did nothing.  I went into the Device manager and scanned for new audio and that did nothing.

Can somebody please help?

Sound only from internal desktop pc speaker. Headphones and speaker not recognized

Help please! I recently moved my desktop from one room to another and at first decided to rest it on its side instead of flat. When I turned it on, it began flashing red and the fans began high speed blowing that I have never experienced before (I could feel the air being blown out of the front and rear of my pc. I turned it off (It wouldn't go into start mode), rested it flat, checked the power connection (which was slightly pulled out on one side) which I firmly plugged back in, and turned it on. This time everything appeared fine throughout startup. So I opened my browser and went to a Youtube page I was interested in. The video loaded and the sound, instead of coming through my headphones as usual, began to come from the front internal speaker. My pc no longer recognizes the front headphone jack nor the rear audio output for speakers. I have always used this headphone port (there is no other) and never experienced problems before; the "move" was gentle as well. I have the most recent release of the Soundmax software as well. Also, this update was a few years ago and I could swear at the time my system was using Realtek as the chipset driver and in my quest into my system for answers, I could swear I saw Realtek listed as a driver for something but now all I find is Soundmax. (I checked for the settings through so many different ways, I can't remember which one revealed Realtek). Does anyone out there have a clue about this? I'd like to listen with my headphones again if possible and one day speakers. Hp dc5800 Small Form Factor, Windows 7 Sp1. All updates are current.

Thank you and God Bless!

I'm having trouble trying to fix an audio problem with myI am getting no sound from the built in speakers, while the Volume mixer and Sound panel from control panel has the bars indicating sound is being played.

When I plug in my headphones I hear sound.

My bluetooth speaker Also works fine

I have tried running the troubleshooting tool, reinstalling the audio drivers - From HP, full system restore... nothing is working. It makes me think it is a hardware issue but i want to exaust all possibilities before getting it looked at.

It's a 2 month old PC which I brought from the USA. It has Bang & Olufsen speakers built into the base of the PC

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Unwanted audio compression ( dynamics )

Hello there,
A VERY important issue has been discovered after installing this PC in a professional ( sound ) recording studio.

The audio ( sound dynamics NOT data ) is being compressed when played back.
As you can appreciate, this compression is very much an unwanted side effect in a studio and needs to be disabled for proper use.

Any help is very much appreciated.

Many thanks in advance,
John S

HP ProDesk 600 G3 audio issue

I have a few HP ProDesk 600 G3 desktops and when I connect speakers via the front jack or the rear audio out jack, the sound that comes out is absolutely terrible.  There is no bass at all.

I’ve tried multiple speakers and multiple desktops.  We reimage to Windows 7 Enterprise 64Bit, but I even tried it on the OS and drivers that it ships with – unmodified.

I’ve played with the equalizer, but there is absolutely no bass and the sound quality is terrible.  It sounds as if the audio was coming from the internal desktop speaker.

Audio drivers are up to date.  Conexant HD

Conexant High Definition Audio 8.65.186.53 Rev.A

Here is a comparision of the audio from the HP and the same song from an iPad.

Here is a brand new HP 600 G3 desktop, just unboxed. Windows 7, latest updates and drivers.  Sounds is terrible.

Same computer. Boot to a USB install of Ubuntu. The audio is normal and sounds great.

This has to be a driver issue, right ?
