Audio Not Working -- Envy 23
Audio suddenly stopped working, I installed Windows 10 - no issues for weeks and then its not working. Any suggestions? I have installed what I believe to be the correct drivers.

Envy 700 (Windows 10 upgrade) No beats audio
So I noticed that there was something odd when I tired to click on the beats icon, it wouldn't open. I mean I am still getting audio, but I found out that beats doesn't work in Windows 10 (home) at all. I even tried to run the setup and it deleted everything in that directory! So is there any drivers for Beats audio at all for Windows 10??! I was really surprised that the setup did that and than gave me an error.. Which I have no idea what it is now, but it did. Or is there no drivers at all for Beats Audio?

Audio Levelling Issue on Headphones
Pavilion 15 Laptop, Product Number K7R25EA#ABU, Windows 8.1 64-bit
Have an issue with volume levelling on headphone output, which does NOT seem to occur through the desktop speakers. One audio track I noticed this on was where a guitar intro had the sound was elevated only for it to drop once vocals commenced, then elevated agsin between gaps in vocals. Not an accurate listening experience, especially if you want to use the heaphone output as a feed to another speaker system.
In looking at this forum and others, alongside an older laptop running windows 7, it is apparent there is no Enhancement tab in Speaker properties, which would enable levelling to be switched off. The Beats Audio does not provide this option, maybe because it does not seem to offer levelling.
In reading various articles I decided to check for drivers on the hp website, and sure enough it listed an audio update, to Realtek version 7358.
I used the HP support facility to download and install. After the uninstall of the previous driver, a reboot was required and then the install, but the install failed. However, the speakers and headphones still worked. Not only that, the Enhancement tab appeared, and the headphones could have their own volume level via the speaker icon in the taskbar.
Given the failure I rebooted and the install completed successfully. Alas it became apparent the levelling issue was back, the Enhancement tab gone as did the headphone control.
I repeated the whole process again, as the driver website still recommended an update, but it was the same driver so no was download necessary. It uninstalled and installed ok this time.
While it was installing I checked the speaker icon in the taskbar, the headphone had their own volume and the Enhancement tab was back! However, come the end of the install and reboot, I am back to square one, i.e. volume levelling and no Enhancement tab.
Sorry if this is long winded but have tried to resolve the issue This is now causing much frustration and use of valuable time, so help would be appreciated.

HP w2558hc Monitor
Is there a specific Windows 10 Driver for this monitor, or is this monitor not supported by Win 10? The built in Mic seemed to work OK under Win 7, but when I upgraded to Win 10 it barely works. On test, indications of sound recording only appear when I shout. New HP Envy Computer with Intel i7 core and NVIDIA High Def Audio.
Also, it shows up under devices as a Digital Photo Frame and assigns three USB ports.

I have had problems with no sound now I have some sound but have pulsating noise unless I turn on speaker to mixer then turn down volumn of Sterio Mix IDT High Definition audio then the noise stops.
I have tryed to update the driver in original drivers # 8 driver Original IDT High definition audio driver three times and still have problem with sound?
Updated all drivers except 3, 4, 6 messages?

low an muffled sound on my new desktop came with windows 10 preinstalled
I have gone through the windows help and updated the divers, Nvidia and Realtek, several times. Does not play sound correctly (muffled and very low ) when using Facebook or Youtube.
BUT it will play using a DVD movie and on some websites and MSN just fine And when I go through the test to check all speakers ( 7.1 )one at a time the test works and matches the speakers it plays a tone with. After 2 days haven't found any thing that worked. Did the 'trouble shooting, did not find anything worng. This a NEW desktop came with windows 10 preinstalled.

Faulse connect -disconnect
Realteck audio keeps telling me that a plug has been inserted into an audio jack, then when I click close or OK i get a message that an audio plug has been removed. This is happening quite frequently and randomly. No plug are being inserted or removed.
Cannot find a way to prevent or cure the problem. Any help and suggestions would be gteatly appreciated.

No sound ... has to unplug/plug in the front panel
I have no sound in my headphones !
When I see Youtube videos I have to UNplug and plug into the front jacks for the sound to come !
When I select a new video I have to do the same procedure !

i just installed windows 10, not sure if 32 or 64 bit. sound does not work. i get a message "no device" and another message "no audio output is installed"
tried hp driver update but only get "error try later". speakers are plugged in and turned on.

Webcam 4310 not recognised as audio device by Skype
Hi
Am probably being really silly but I've just purchased a HP Webcam HD 4310. Video works fine in Skype (for Business) and the device seems to be recognised by Windows as an audio device:
But Skype for Business and AnyMeeting don't recognise that there is an audio device/microphone installed.
So, how do I use the webcam 4310's microphone in Skype or other applications?
Any help will be gatefully received.

Cannot get Logitech Z906 5.1 THX Surround Speakers to function on Envy Phoenix 850se
Just received a new Envy Phonix 850se and am getting all my hardware attached and functioning before moving the unit to Windows 10 (currently running factory build of Windows 7). This product has Realtek HD Audio hardware and Bang & Olufsen software. Both configuration screens allow for testing of the connected speakers, but only produce sound to two speakers that are plugged into the "green" jack. The Bang & Olufsen config screen indicates that the 3 speaker inputs (6 channels) should be placed across the green, pink, and blue jacks. The Realtek config screen seems to show that only the "green" jack is being used for speaker output.
I would like to get this last piece of hardware working before performing the windows 10 upgrade.
Please advise on things to inspect and options to enable the 5.1 surround speakers to function.

Headphones always seen as speakers and sound distortions. Where can we change this?
Hi,
I currently have my Pavilion Mini hooked to a set of wireless Sennheiser headphones and, while I wait for my new speakers to arrive, I use the speakers from the TV that I use as a PC screen.
My problem is that on sound defenitions there is no option to switch from a pair of stero speakers to headphones. The sound is distorted on low frequencies and I think it has to do with it thinking it is dealing with expernal speakers. I once found the Realtek countrol panel but I can't find it now. Didn't do me any good when I did as it also wouldn't allow me to tell it that the thing conneceted on the 3.5 jack are headphones.
I also have a "DTS Audio Contol Panel" on my tool bar (the thing on the button right with the clock, etc). I have no idea what that is or where it came from. Is it an HP or Microsoft software?
Oh, and before you ask... drives are up to date through HP's webpage.
