After upgrading to Windows 10, I have no sound
After upgrading to Windows 10 , I have no sound. When I try to upgrade driver I get error 0x8007001f Audio Device IDT High Definition Audio CODEC. Also get audio servicd no responding

No audio on desktop running Windows 10
The desktop uses the Integrated IDT 92HD68E2 High Definition Audio Codec and there is no sound output from the headphone port in the top I/O ports or from either of the two back audio ports – audio side speaker out or audio line out. I have tested the speakers and headphones on other devices and they work perfectly so either the jack sensing has failed or the issue is deeper than that.
I have tried the following without any success:
- uninstalling and reinstalling the audio codec;
- uninstalling and deleting the audio codec, then downloading and reinstalling it;
- opening the Sound panel on the taskbar to see what shows on the Playback tab – ie:
- The Speakers/Headphones and Communication Headphones go from 'not plugged in' to 'ready' when headphones are connected to the top headphone port. No sound at the headphones though
- There is no change to the display when the speakers are connected to the back audio ports.
The only sound I get is from a second monitor with internal speakers connected by a DVI cable. The problem may be related to upgrading the OS from Windows 8.1 to 10 but I can't be certain as I really haven't tried to listen to sound files since upgrading. Any help I can get would be most appreciated.

I receive no sound using headphones plugged into the front headphone jack. In the "Sounds" Playback setting of the Communication Headphones the "test" can be heard in my headphones. But nothing else.

Has anyone found a way to record audio with Audacity while streaming audio from Youtube or other web sources?
I know the manufacturers are trying to prevent this. I was able to do this on an older computer.

Automatic annoying sound tracks
my laptop automatically plays music i have tried all possible things but this does not stop, I do not have and dvd or music stored forautoplay.
the automatic music and songs are like hip hop, nursery rhymes f1 racong and a few more, thisis very annoying and i dont understand where does this music come from i have checked the volume controller and when the automatic music plays it does not showwhich devise isis coming from.
please help this is very annoying. I got this laptop just months ago and I am facing this issue already not a good start as this is mu first hp product

HP Envy Sound Cutting in and Out
Recently the sound in my speakers has been cutting in and out consistently. Often I have to fiddle with the position of the PC to get it to work, and once it works I cannot move it from the position or touch the computer at all really. Additionally, when I have headphones plugged in, sometimes the sounds will cut into the speakers as well. Again, I have to move it around until the sound stops coming out of the speakers. Any suggestions??

hi just wondering if anyone can help with my problem, i recently disconnected my computer while decorating and on reconnecting found there was no longer any audio i have tried reinstalling drivers but still no audio, the hardware mannager says the system is working ok, i have even tried a sound card to see if that would resolve the problem but the same thing happened, any help would be great tthanks . the motherboard is a asus p5LP.LE with pentium D processor.

Windows 10 was automatically installed on my HP Envy Phoenix desktop computer. Prior to this installation, I had audio. Now I have received a message that says, "No Audio Device is installed. I have no sound and it will not come on at all. I have called the support service and talk to 6 different people. Lastly, I was placed in a hold cue for over an hour then it hung up on me. New All in One PC - microphone not working
Hi,
the microphone does not work on my new PC. Went through the troubleshooting guide with no luck and tested with microsoft Sounds, microphone recorder and skype. The default microphone listed a realtek HD audio device on the MS sounds settings app. Thanks in advance.

The sound is quieter, and occasionally hang on one second.
Laptop HP 350 G1. It was the operating system Windows 8.1. Upgrade to Windows, 10. The sound is very quiet, and occasionally freezes when playing for one second, and then continue playing. Drivers updated, but he says that is the most recent version of the driver.
Resets back to Windows 8, the sound was loud, good. Again, upgrade to Windows 10, the sound again became ill.
What to do?
