troubleshooter says right audio driver installed but no sound
No sound after fixing DVI/VGA (or something like that) to get monitor out of sleep mode. Computer works but I get no sound, no microphone, no pc camera. Troubleshooter says correct driver is installed. Can anyone help?

Sound Problems after Win 10 upgrade
After the Win 10 upgrade, (running Firefox) Pandora, U tube, Quicktime, and Itunes audio all quit working.
this is what I have in the Manage Audio Devices control panel:
Speakers / Headphones

Default Device

When I right click the default device and hit "test" - I get a normal sounding audio test through my dual speaker / subwhoofer system. The only other place I've been able to get audio, is when I open the Win Media Player, and play a file with an .mts extension. .mov and .mp4 files in Win Media player will not play audio.
the first thing I tried was to update the driver in Device manager/
What else should I try?

use headphone jack for powered rear speakers in 4-speaker stup
I have a pair of Logitech speakers with subwoofer and would like to connect them to my computer for surround sound using the computer's speakers as the front pair. Using headphones I cannot find a way to make the computer speakers and the headphone play at the same time. Please advise:
Can I connect the logitech speakers as above? and
if so, what software settings do I have to make?

Distorted noise from front headphone output
There is a hissing, fuzzy, distorted, static noise when I connect any headphones to the front headphone jack even before any audio is playing and as soon as the volume is above 0. The problem goes right away as soon as I connect the headphones to the back auxilary output instead and the sound is crisp and clean. I have had the issue with older HP desktop pc's too, but had hoped it was a thing of the past. Is there any way I can make this noise go away without risk of losing my warranty?
I need to use the front output since my headphones will not reach the back when I am wearing them in my chair.

B&O sound???? No sound at all...on new Pavilion 550 desktop?
My new desktop bought today has no sound at all...the speakers won't even turn on! It has no Audio Manager program? When clicking on the audio icon B&O an error message shows...this is just out of the box!!! And yes it even says in the manual to connect audio cable to "Black" output on back of PC??? It doesn't have a black audio port...green, blue, orange...never heard of a black connector...unless you have to use headphone port?

Audio Service Not Responding: Not Fixed ( please help )
I have been soundless for two weeks now, I know what I did wrong and need help to fix it. I deleted the speakers in the sounds : playback settings so there are no speaker drivers anymore or at least I think that.. help me plz

No Sound, No service from HP, anyone have any ideas?
So...my sound stoped working, both from back and headphone jack. Did a EUFI check, system checks out, got an error code on the audio. Contacted HP via chat, did 6 hours of having HP take control of my computer, and was transfered to some department that issued a repair order, April 06, which was cancelled, then recieved another cso# April 07, which was cancelled by HP, recieved another cso# April 09, which was issued by a Superviser, which was cancelled by HP, revieved another cso# April 12, again by the Superviser, which again was cancelled.
Has anyone had similair experiences? I can't believe that after talking to a Superviser, that assured me not to worry, that my repair would be expedited, has cancelled a warranty repair, 4 times!
Has anyone actually had warranty work done?

Windows 10 was automatically installed on my HP Envy Phoenix desktop computer. Prior to this installation, I had audio. Now I have received a message that says, "No Audio Device is installed. I tried every troubleshooting strategy that has been suggested but without success. I try everything and even on You Tube Video How to fixed it. I keep getting this messages: IDT - Audio Device - IDT High Definition Audio CODEC - Error 0x8007001f, Troubleshooting was unable to automatically fix all of the issues found. beats equalizer for pc not working win 10
Hi,
Please, does anyone know where I can find an Updated version of IDT drivers that actually works with win 10. I have searched high and low and have installed 6.10.6418.0 Beats Audio Control Panel and several others, this is about the only one that works to some point. The Equalizer is the only part that is NOT working at ALL !!

Microphone Fails to Work for Headsets
Thank you guys for hearing me out, this problem has been bugging me for a while.
I have a Turtle Beach Earforce Z11 Headset for PC, which connects through jacks as opposed to USB. There is a splitter for the primary plug, which splits the options into both a headphone and microphone. On this HP, however there are two jack options in the front : headphone and one that shows both a microphone and a headphone. Upon connecting the plug in the headphone jack, I'm able to hear everything. Sound is perfect and I couldn't be happier, however it fails to recognize the mic...because it isn't in a microphone slot.
Once I connected the plug into the combined audio/mic jack, I get nothing. I hear a tiny bit of static as it is inserted and suddenly my sound option on the taskbar appears with a little red circle and an "x", which tells me that "No speakers or headphones are plugged in". However on skype, I am told that my microphone is working just fine. The problem with that is, my actual microphone isn't picking up sound, but the headphones are picking up sound. I'm currently speaking into my headphones (which are plugged into the mic/audio jack) and I was told that I they could hear me, but I sounded muffled.
The only other piece of relevant information is that a headset I had that worked through USB had no problems whatsoever. Thank you for the help.

No Sound in HP Picture in Picture
So i've never had a problem with this until recently maybe a month or so ago i was kinda just hoping the problem would go away but its still a problem. i have no sound when using HP Picture in Picture i use it to play on my xbox one ps4 and xbox 360 but i have sound on neither i've tried switching the hdmi cables didnt do anything i tried installing the latest version of the program didnt do anything ive tried updating my graphics card cause why not didnt do anything i've looked up on google for other people that maybe had this problem and nothing is seeming to help me hopefully someone here knows how to fix my problem!

Beats Audio on HP ENVY Recline 23-m230 TouchSmart Beats SE All-in-One Desktop PC
Ever since I upgraded my HP Envy Recline 23-m230, when I plug in my subwoofer, the sound goes out completely and I have to restart to get it to work again (without the subwoofer. When I hit Reset Default Settings in Beats I get the message IDTNGUI.exe has stopped working. I paid to have HP help with the problem with no resolution. It is very frustrating! Anyone? Thanks.

I bought an HP 410-010 at the end of March. Everything worked but after I did HP registration and updates, now my computer has a hum and all videos sound as if they are speaking at the bottom of a barrel. I have updated the sound card and uninstalled and reinstalled realtek but nothing works.
