HP 4120

I have an HP 4120 VOIP Phone that is connected to a transceiver to go from CAT5 to Fiber.

The transceiver is 100 Full on both the copper and fiber side.

The phone is 10/100/1000 auto-sensing.

The phone is using Lync Phone Edition and is on the latest update.

Phone continously loses connection and reconnects. I see nothing to show any issues on the Lync side.  I suspect a duplex issue but am only guessing.

Has anyone else seen this?

No audio after last Windows 10 update

No error messages just silence - stone cold silence and I HATE silent games and love my music! I have done everything I am comfortable doing - actually have done it many times and a PC tech helped and got the same results - nothing. Have done everything many times except I draw the line on touching the bios! I will edit a registry but I am not comfortable with a bios simply because I have never had to do it before and at 73 I am not about to do it now!

All drivers have been updated, connected correctly, all tests show the speakers working (Bose speakers about 8 years old) but they are not.

At this point I am fed up with HP support since there is none after a point and I need help! I really think HP could take lessons from Norton's whose techs drive the car and get to the destination and continue to do so until their product is working properly! And I have the free product from Comcast! That is a LOT for my contribution.

But now I need help with the bios stuff and there is no one to help me except for I assume is an exorbitant fee and living on a fixed income in today's world that is usually unobtainable.

Does anyone have ANY knowledgeable recommendations?

This was supposed to be my last PC - but it looks like there will be one more and it will NOT be an HP!

I just bought my new HP laptop.  I would like for the sound to be louder especially when I play videos and listen to music.    I am considering purchasing new external speakers.  But, I would like to know how many watts my current speakers put out.

So, how can I find out the wattage of my current speakers?

Thanks.

Bypass Beats in Favor of SUB-OUT?

Is it possible to bypass the audio coming from the AIO and have it go through the sub-out line only? I have configured both to work together, although the sub mostly handles the bass (WAAYYYY too much bass!) and the AIO speakers everything else, but it sounds horrible either way. On my previous PC, the sub system managed all audio by default. Thanks!

Oops! I forgot to mention that I have an HP Pavilion Elite HPE-450f Desktop PC.

My OS is Windows 7, 64-Bits.

My sound is not working. I went into the SOUND in my Control Panel and got the following message: AMD HDMI Output is not plugged in, and on the next screen, it said "This Device is working properly".

Thanks in advance for your help.

Windows 10 Upgrade - Beats sound issue (same issue new submitter)

I waited until the last minute (literally) to upgrade from Win7 to Win10. During the wait I kept up with all the Win10 HP blogs. My HP all-in-1 printer works great thanks to the support blog but I am still having difficulty getting my BOSE speakers to sound as they did with Beats on Win 7.

I have downloaded and installed the compatible IDT HiDef Audio CODEC driver but the sound quality is still poor. The "Speakers/Headphones" property sound setting is "24-bit, 48000 Hz (Studio Quality)". I would like to adjust the treble/bass settings as before - I want my BOSE speakers back!!

Any recent recommendations?

Thanx!!

"No Audio output device is installed"

I recently installed a SSD into my PC and while I was at it, I had to update to Win 10.   Though Audio was pre-installed on my PC when it came from the factory,  the speaker icon shows a red "X" and reads:   No Audio output device is installed".   I've tryed updating the drivers.  Is it possible that the sound card was damaged when replacing the SSD or perhaps Win 10 doesn't recognize an older Audio?sound card?
