I have an HDMI cord running from my laptop to my desktop computer. I have the laptop outputting audio through the HDMI cord perfectly fine. However, my desktop will not relay the audio through the built-in speakers unless I have the HP Picture in Picture software open on the selected HDMI Input. I was wondering if there was a way I am able to bypass using the HP Picture in Picture software. The HDMI Inputs do not show up in the 'Sound' window through the Control Panel in either the Playback or Recording tabs.

need sound drivers for compaq-presario BQ472AA-ABA CQ5500Y but all I could find wanted you to be running XP PRO or vista and so on I have xp home edition

I just recently upgrated to Windows 10 64-bit and lost my Beats Audio file. It's happened to me before and I've been able to go into the file explorer and find it but I've attempted that this time and haven't been able to find Beats Audio. 

 

What can I do to get it back?

Hi

I have upgraded from Windows 7 to 10 and now have no sound on internal
speakers. I have tried updating the sound driver which is up to date but still
no sound.
The external speaker is fine.
Any ideas please

Hello, I was wondering what the largest length and width of a GPU i can install in my PC. I was hoping I would be able to install a Gigabyte GTX 1060 (6 GB).

Hi, 

 

I own a HP Envy 34. 

 

Left speaker is cracking for a couple of days now. 

 

When I start the computer, it's kind of ok, and the say I watch a video or listen music. From that time onwards, everytime the volume goes off (like between two songs for instance), the left speaker is cracking. When the volume goes up again, the issue stops. 

But that's really annoying...

I have a new HP desktop, model number 27-A010 Touch. The microphone does not recognize my voice,. I have set up mic but it still does not work for "Cortana". I vae downloaded the most recent RealTek driver. Any sugggestions

I have the Compaq Pro 6300 MT computer, I need to access the BIOS Integrated Peipherals area to make some adjustments in the Audio area, I need to turn off the motherboard audio system. How can I do this?.

I had some problems with my PC so i reseted it. After the reset i found out that the sound was not working. Theres a little x on the sound icon. I clicked it and it said it was solved, it restarted but same thing. I have contacted Microsoft but they did not have a solution... Please, i really need sound!

 

I tried to update drivers but it was failed. After some days it told me there was a IDT ... something upgrade, it failed too.

Error: 0x8007001f

 

ONE MORE QUESTION:

Everytime i boot the PC it says something about ADT... what is that? I'm too scared to check [ ] Do not show again

In one of the updates for Windows 10, I lost the beats audio icon at the bottom of the screen and I suspect I lost it altogether.  I'm not sure if I have the 32 or 64 bit Windows 10.  Would like to get the Beats audio back as it did come with this PC.  Thank you.

All externally connected USB devices and sound stopped working a the same time. I suspected it to be a driver issue. I went to the HP site to download new drivers but couldn't find any for Windows 10. Any help would be appreciated.

I just received my HP Pavilion 27xw 27-inch IPS LED Backlit Monitor. Today, I tried to use it without speakers. As I know, the monitor have built-in speakers and I should hear voices from the monitor while I was playing music. However, I used two ASUS notebooks to connect with the monitor but there was no sound at all. Did anyone have the same issue before? Does any expert have resoultion for the issue? Thank you very much for your help.

From the day I bought it the computer hasn't recognized any headphones. I've tried installing Realtek hoping I could use it to select what the ports should do, but it never works & windows continues to run audio. The port works because I've tested a JBL bluetooth speaker with it.

My sound does not work and says no audio device has been installed. I already uninstalled and reinstalled it and it doesn't work. I tried fixing the cable it still doesn't work. HELP ME! My parents doesn't know how to fix it either and doesn't want to buy a new computer. I am the only one in my house that is having this problem because everyone else has good computers with sound. They do not allow me to use it, that is why I need your help ASAP! THANKS IF YOU CAN FIX THIS PROBLEM!

Had to reset computer.  After reset my audio button has a red x and states No Audio Output device is installed.

Have gone to device Manager and tried to install driver and  I get Windows encountered a problem installing driver software for your device.  A device attached to the system is not functioning.  error code 0x8007001f  My Audio is IDT - Audio Device - IDT High Definition Audio CoDEC
