My pc is listed as 5.1 surround with Bang and Olufsen integrated . problem is there is only 3 connections Front out -Mic and rear speaker . My speaker system needs 3 connections ..Logitech z506 5.1
What am I missing ? is there a way to configure the ports ? When I change speaker selection blue in port changes to rear speakers but mic stays there ? could it be because mic is pluged in ...
I have external HP Roar Wireless speaker which I bought with the computer. It was working fine until a week or so ago. One morning I woke up and no sound. Went though all the steps I could find at HP. My computer says "The audio peripheral doesn't appear to be plugged in Plug in the speaker. " The speaker is plugged in. The light is flashing white, which indictates it is connected according to the HP web site, but when my computer searches for blue tooth devices, it brings up all my devices except my wireless speakers. Can't get online support from HP or even find a phone number to call to talk to a real person hopefully. I am beyond frustated.
I replaced the original CPU with Pentium G3258.
Everything seems to be working fine except audio from Displayport-to HDMI cable to monitor.
Device Maneger shows all devices working properly, including "Acer S231HL (Intel Display Audio)<Audio inputs and outputs" and "Intel Display Audio<Sound, video and game controllers".
However, Default Format<Advanced<Acer S231HL Properties is greyed out.
When I play "test", it appears as if sound is played with volume level going up and down, but no sound from the display speaker.
I updated to the latest Bios, installed Intel Chipset Support and Intel Graphic Drivers.
I am wondering if the motherboard only supports i3, i5 and i7.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I recently received an Audio-Technica AT2035 and got an XLR Female to 3.5 mm jack adapter so i could use it on my computer. But every time I try to use it, the computer is trying to recognize it as a speaker instead, and will not receive any kind of sound input. The jack is labeled as microphone supported, so it should work, right? I cannot figure out how to correct this and would like some advice.

Already had Windows 10; upgraded to Windows 10 fall creator update; then had very poor display quality on this EliteDesk 800. VGA, DisplayPort - both are poor.
Tried: new drivers (both through HPSA, Windows update, manual); different model of HP monitors; Windows 10 display tweaks
Also reported this to Intel and their advice for drivers had the same result
Display is still very grainy and light
Device manager reports that the card is Intel HD Graphics 4600
Our business has 16 of these desktops
Question: Would replacing the original graphics card possibly resolve the display issue?
If yes, which card would you advise purchasing?

Hi Everyone. I am at a total loss as to what is going on with my computer. I am getting no sound what so ever. My computer randomly restarted last night and now I have no audio. I am getting an error " No Audio Output device installed". I have ran the diagnotic tool and get the error that Realtek has a driver issue. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling but nothing works. I keep getting a code 10 from Realtek. Does anyone have any advice?

This is the second time the volumn has been a problem on this computer. The first time the mother board failed and had to be replaced during the first year of warrenty. When I got the computer back, I had to return it to the repair center because the volumn was not as loud as when I took it in. They seemed to fix it.
Now I have everything turned up to 100% and again I can barely hear it. It could have been due to a windows 10 upgrade. Hard to tell anymore since it seem to be automatic.
Is there a fix for this?

No input to line in from phono to preamp to RCA red/white to 3.5mm adapter to blue line in. The line in icon in the audio control panel shows input but no sound from the speakers or line out? This setup worked with an older computer.
i bought this 2yr old computer from my son-in-law. he returned it to factory settings and basically wiped it.. how do I install/ where do i go/ what do i do to install another audio output device?? to be able to have sound on the computer, to watch videos, listen to music, etc??
Hi, older posts point to an equaliser hidden in the Enhancements tab on the speaker audio. This is not one of the four tabs on my pc. The enhancements tab has been replaced by a "Spatial Sound" tab that does not have this option. Any help here please?
Windows 10 update has wiped my beatsaudio software. I tried all the solutions on the forums without success. Drivers for windows 8 as recommended will not install and are aborted part way through. Please help.

Hi, I recently acquired a 32GB flash disk. However, when I save songs into the disk, it can only play about 18 of them out of one hundred. That is about 100MB only. When I insert it in my car radio the same happens. How can I fix this?
After a reset to fabricsettings I have no sound anymore from the integrated soudcard, before all worked perfect.
I get a message that stwrt64.inf and atihdwt6.inf have to be reinstalled.
In the device managment I get the message that the driver of 'IDT High Definition Audio CODEC' has to be reinstalled, but I get an error-message that the device attached is broken. I tested with other headphones and speakers, all new ones, and got the same error-messages. With USB-connections all works perfect.

Having a major issue with this unit as the speakers are crackling really badly. The unit is only a couple of days old & has been happening ever since it was set up. It is especially bad when the camera is up but seems to be getting worse.
Has anyone any idea what could be causing this as after a search I found one bit which said change the drivers which i did but it is still crackling. It is fitted with the B & O speakers.
